Routines & Rituals
As the new school year begins, it's essential to establish routines and rituals that provide structure and stability for your kiddos.
Back 2 School Szn
As the school year approaches, we face the task of preparing our homes for the inevitable rush of routines, schedules, and school supplies. An organized home can greatly contribute to a smooth transition and alleviate unnecessary stress.
Doom Boxes
Doom Boxes. The place where the forgotten things live. You know, those boxes we keep to hide the clutter when unexpected guests come over or when we're too overwhelmed to deal with it.
Peacemakers, Not Peacekeepers
What did Jesus mean by the term "peacemaker"? To define it, a peacemaker is someone who is proactively working to reconcile people with God and with each other.
Sunday Scaries
Today, we're going to talk about a common phenomenon that most of us experience every week. It honestly creeps up on you and you probably don’t even realize it. By the time that this feeling reaches you, you don’t realize that it’s slowly been working its way into the front of your thoughts. In fact, you might have already had this feeling happen in the last few days.
It’s the Sunday Scaries.
Digital Evangelism
As you’re watching or listening to this through your glass screen I want you to think of this as a way to bring peace to a space that usually doesn’t get to be peaceful. I want you to think of some anchor scriptures and share them. Whether you get online to read them or you just post the verses, I want you to use this glass screen to reach generations that have never known life without them and give Life through them.
Something Different
We’ve got to think about these digital platforms as opportunities to share the love of Jesus. This is just one sphere of influence that we have that can help us bring peace. In Matthew 5 verse 9, we’re right in the middle of the Beatitudes and Jesus says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” What if we became peacemakers on these platforms? Instead of bouncing from social media or calling it out in a negative way, we can step out on these platforms and share love.
To Keep or Not to Keep
It can also be helpful to break the decluttering process into small, manageable steps. You can start by decluttering one room at a time or by tackling one category of items, such as clothes or books. This can make the process feel less overwhelming and more achievable.
Systems for Kids
My pursuit of perfection cannot get in the way of teaching my kids. I have to say that this is something that I’m working on. Letting go of the weight of carrying the home chores on my shoulders. It’s good to work together as a team. It’s good to feel like we’re accomplishing something together.
